On this course you will be taught by Jackie Price, a professional fully qualified and award winning dog groomer.

You will gain a nationally recognised qualification: The Open College Network West Midlands Level 3 Diploma in Dog Grooming.

This course will enable you to go from novice to professional groomer, and include:

  • learning how to check a dog's health
  • learning how to properly handle a dog in the grooming environment
  • assessing, planning and recording your dog grooming work
  • gaining knowledge on all the different coat types and learning how to prepare coats before bathing
  • learning proper drying techniques
  • learning all the different grooming techniques: hand stripping, scissoring, clipping
  • learning how to groom and style a variety of breeds of dogs to a high standard
  • learning how to properly clean the grooming equipment
  • ensuring the dog's wellbeing
  • customer care
  • learn Canine First Aid

This course can be taken as a day course, evening course, or week-end course, to suit your needs.

We give full support after the completion of the course.

Kits and upgrade kits are available for this course and are chargeable.
