The AIM (formely OCN) course 603/0891/6 will enable you to go from novice to professional dog groomer in just one month.

Students will learn the required skills to groom breeds of dogs with all types of coats. Students will be taught how to handle different tools and equipment to achieve all different grooming styles successfully. They will study the health and wellbeing of different dog breeds, and will be taught canine first aid.
You will also be taught the successful running of a busy dog grooming salon.

Included in the course :

  • Assess, plann and record dog grooming work
  • Canine First Aid
  • Carry out styling and finishing of a dog
  • Check health of a dog
  • Promote and maintain the well-being and health of dogs
  • Welcome, receive and handle customers
  • FREE certificate in Animal Handling and Animal First Aid
  • FREE business management certificate giving you guidance in running your own salon and customer relations

This qualification has been designed specially for students who desire to become professional dog gromers, and also for groomers but who want to complete and obtain a nationally recognised qualification. This qualification does not require any written or practical assessments.
