The City & Guilds Level 2 course is for beginners and teaches the basic skills required to work as a dog grooming assistant in any dog grooming salon. It is also a necessary step to take further courses in order to become a professionnal dog groomer.

Included in the course:

  • Handling dogs in the correct manner
  • Checking and learning to recognize health issues
  • Bathing and drying
  • Basic first aid
  • Basic styling
  • Basic scissoring, clipping, hand stripping
  • Ear and nail care
  • Health and safety in the salon
  • Plenty of hands-on experience with a wide variety of dog breeds
  • A certificate in Animal First Aid and Animal Handling
  • A certificate in business management

This course will enable you to get the City & Guilds Level 2 Certificate, which is necessary in order to go on to a Level 3 course.
