This 25 day course is specifically for people who wish to acquire a strong foundation and  knowledge in dog grooming, to later work as a dog grooming assistant in a salon.

The Level 2 City & Guilds qualification must be completed before the level 3 qualification. This particular course is the first step in completing the qualifications. If you request, we can  also run the course for you to finish with a level 3 styling standard, a popular choice for those wishing to complete level 3 at a later date, but go straight on to open a business beforehand.

This course includes:

  • Correct handling of dogs
  • Health check and recognising problems
  • Basic first aid
  • Styling to breed standard or owners requirements
  • Clipping, scissoring and hand stripping
  • Ear, nail, anal gland and teeth maintenance
  • Health and safety in the salon
  • Guidance in running your own salon and customer relations

If completing the course over 25 days you will gain full knowledge of Styling also.

The Level 2 City & Guilds Qualification is included in this course.
